TELEHEALTH
Telehealth gives us a way to complete visits remotely. Studies have shown that telehealth is equally
effective at reducing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and anger problems as face-to-face therapy.
is a good time to use technology to stay connected with vital health services!
How to Prepare for TeleHealth Visits
COST - VERIFY WHAT YOU WILL OWE FOR A TELEHEALTH VISIT
Employer-sponsored plan: Need to verify with your plan - click here for instructions.
Sliding Scale: Same as in office.
State and federally-regulated plans: Same as in office.
Healthcare.gov plans, Medicaid, Medicare and Medicare supplement plans, and/or
if your health ID card has “TDI” or “DOI” on it.
EQUIPMENT - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE WHAT YOU NEED
A laptop/desktop computer with a webcam is preferred. A tablet is okay too. Cell phones are not recommended due to possible privacy breaches but your cell phone may be able to provide a hotspot (internet) for a laptop or tablet. A cell phone can be used if that is your only option.
Choose a private, well-lit space where you will be able to complete the appointment without distraction.
